Movie Stars

I had a dream. I was in it with my Mom and my Great Aunt Rena. My mom and Aunt were dressed alike in matching chino pants-olive green. Something I would wear. They had a body suit that was like the stretch stocking material under their clothes. It was an off white color and came down below their pants. They must have been wearing "peddle pushers" as my Mom used to call them. Or "toreador pants"she used to say. Anyway they were looking at Magazine covers of two magazines. One I didn't recognize,the other was Vanity Fair,amagazine I used to regularly subscribe to. They were pointing to a picture of Eve Arden-remember from Funny Face with Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire. They said she had just died. In fact all the movie stars they were pointing to they said had just died. (My Mom and Great Aunt are dead,they looked really good in the dream though). Before I went to bed I had a discussion with my Mother's half-sister. WE were talking about the prescription strength medication Alleve that I take for my leg pain. I've been taking it for years and now the FDA is saying it causes an increased risk of heart attacks and stroke. Guess that's the reason for the dream. Warning me in my own subtle way. I love movie stars. And I especially love Vanity Fair magazine. I still have the copy of Princess Diana on the cover and K.D. Lang and Cindy Crawford(gender-bending it on an old barber's chair) and Barbra Striesand of course,and President Clinton and Al Gore posing for their picture on the cover. I need to start walking! I also need to treat myself to another subscription to Vanity Fair! Oh, yeah and all those old mags have Isabella Rossellini in them for Lancome makeup. She's so gorgeous! I have a book of photos taken by Jane Bowen the famous photographer and she has a lot of movie stars in it including Isabella and also Kate Millet! Guess this dream was a wake -up call.
